ABOUT US

Rosapenna Hotel is a family owned and run hotel since 1981.
The Casey family have had links with Rosapenna dating back to 1940 when Frank Casey, the current owner's father, came to came to work as the hotel's restaurant manager.
He met a local girl, Grace McFadden , got married and settled in Downings.
His son worked in the hotel from 1957 and bought it in 1981. Under his ownership the Rosapenna as evolved dramatically. It has now 60 bedroom including 12 junior suites,
extensive leisure facilites. In addition to hotel improvements Frank Casey also added a second course to Rosapenna, the Sandy Hills Links designed by Pat Ruddy of the European Club which opened for play in 2003.

The original Old Tom Morris Course has also seen significant improvements increasing length, adding bunkering and a revised layout. to make it challenging for the 21st century golfer.
To complement the two courses a Golf Pavilion was opened in 2005 covering 18,000 sq ft, this two storey structure overlooks the back nine of the Old Tom Morris course as well as the magnificent Tramore Beach.
